Write a Welcome Email Sequence Fast

Published on 21 June 2025 at 08:00

Let’s be honest - most people overthink their welcome sequence.

You don’t need 10 emails, a full funnel, or clever tricks. You need a simple, strategic set of emails that:
✅ Introduce you
✅ Deliver value
✅ Build trust
✅ Invite them to take the next step

And yes - you can map it out in under an hour.

Here’s the fast-track formula I use when setting this up for clients (and myself).

✅ Email 1: The Warm Hello 👋

Subject line: “So glad you’re here - let’s make this easy”

  • Thank them for joining

  • Set expectations (how often you’ll email, what you’ll share)

  • Include your lead magnet or freebie if they opted in

  • Link to one of your best blog posts or most-loved content

🛠 Bonus tip: Keep it short. Be friendly and clear. End with a “PS: Hit reply if you ever have questions!”

✅ Email 2: The “Why You” Email

Subject line: “Why I do what I do (and how it helps you)”

  • Share a quick version of your story - the “why” behind your business

  • Show how your journey connects to the problem your audience is facing

  • Invite connection (e.g. “Are you struggling with this too?”)

💡 Keep this human, not corporate. One story builds more trust than a paragraph of credentials.

✅ Email 3: The Quick Win

Subject line: “Try this - it works (and takes 5 minutes)”

  • Share a simple tip, checklist, or mindset shift that gets results fast

  • Make it easy to apply today

  • Add a visual (Canva graphic, short tutorial, PDF, link to blog)

This is your value email. You’re showing you’re not just here to sell - you’re here to help.

✅ Email 4: The Soft Pitch

Subject line: “Need help with this part?”

  • Bring attention to a common problem (that you solve)

  • Share how you can help (service, package, offer)

  • Include a CTA to book, browse, or DM

🧠 This isn’t a hard sell - it’s an invitation. You're showing up with confidence and clarity.

🔁 Keep the Sequence Evergreen

You can drop new people into this sequence anytime they join your list - whether it’s from a freebie, workshop, or blog post.
It runs in the background while you focus on creating less email - and getting more engagement.
